aspiHer Interview

When asked about opening AspiHer Women’s Business Club, founder and CEO Desiree Bombenon, says,

‘It was about time for Calgary to have its own women’s business club.’

The concept behind the club is to give women access and for women to support other women. Male allies are welcome.

Over her 30 year entrepreneurial journey, Desiree has been passionate about empowering women.

AspiHer offers a tremendous opportunity for women in business to create community, network and hold events in a space designed just for them. Members and non-members can:

👩🏻💡 access ongoing speaker events and workshops in the main event area,
🧑🍳 meet for lunch and dinner in the elegantly designed Bungalow Club Restaurant,
😎 find a quiet space in the very cool Aviator Room,
👶 👩🏻 🧑🏾🦱 or host a large meeting in the boardroom.

Find out about upcoming events and membership at the link in the comments below.

Thanks to Desiree for the opportunity to interview her and share AspiHer’s story through the Illuminate Human-Centered Storytelling Initiative.

We had a great conversation about why she founded AspiHer in the light-filled main room of the club which is perfect for events and for filming.

Visual storyteller Nic Nolet captured the story and the club’s inviting rooms, preserving the story for all time and creating a valuable asset for Desiree and the aspiHer.

Learn more in the video about aspiHer and why you should join, become a partner or host your next event there.

I’ve been a founding member and am now a full member since it opened. I am also hosting an event in October for one of Calgary’s long established not-for-profits at the club.

Calgary’s business women have been given an invitation to gain access and to create a supportive community. Let’s rise and accept the call!
